With Dr. Christian Kuhn, Aderhold gains another high-caliber addition to its team.

On March 1, 2026, we welcome Dr. Christian Kuhn as a new partner at Aderhold. He will strengthen our restructuring practice in Düsseldorf and brings with him many years of experience from the RWE Group and legal consulting.
Career: From law practice to corporate management
Dr. Kuhn began his legal career in 2004 as a lawyer at the law firm Beiten Burkhardt in Düsseldorf, initially as an associate and later as a salary partner. In October 2009, he moved to the RWE Group, where he held various executive positions, including Head of Corporate and Capital Markets Law at RWE AG from 2016 to 2022.
In this role, he was significantly involved in a number of strategically important restructuring projects, such as the carve-out and IPO of innogy SE and the asset swap between RWE and E.ON. Most recently, he headed the legal department of RWE Renewables Europe & Australia GmbH from 2022 to 2025 and was a member of the Executive Board of RWE Pensionsfonds AG.
In this role, he was significantly involved in a number of strategically important restructuring projects, such as the carve-out and IPO of innogy SE and the asset swap between RWE and E.ON. Most recently, he headed the legal department of RWE Renewables Europe & Australia GmbH from 2022 to 2025 and was a member of the Executive Board of RWE Pensionsfonds AG.
Strengthening of the restructuring practice in Düsseldorf
At Aderhold, Dr. Kuhn strengthens the established restructuring practice of the Düsseldorf office as a partner. His consulting focus is on restructuring and distressed M&A transactions, including related corporate and capital market law issues.
